Beer Republic coming to Chester
Here's a bit of news (Hot off the press)
As many of you know, I've started serving Blue Ball Beers in the Carlton. The guys who run Blueball (and parent company the Beer Republic) have bought the old Dannato and Sandros building by the Hoole bridge. Ive been helping them staff the place and theyre looking to open around mid May (after the races) They say there will be Real Ale and their own keg ales (American Style) as well as a basic kitchen. You heard it here first!
P.S Drink in the Carlton!

Walked past here on Wednesday, fixtures and fittings of the restaurant were still inside (tables and chairs, tables were set etc). I guess there is still plenty of time left until the races. Another place on the local map will be welcome. If I head up that way today I shall check again.
Re: Beer Republic coming to Chester
The Beer Republic van has been spotted outside the past few days so presumably conversion work is under way.
Re: Beer Republic coming to Chester
Yes, walked past yesterday and saw their van parked outside with a very nice sportscar parked in front of it.
Re: Beer Republic coming to Chester
its an audi r8. speaking to Alex its going to have a good selection of bottled beers and casks including their own blueball beers.
Re: Beer Republic coming to Chester

Re: Beer Republic coming to Chester
Thats ok Luke, I should have paid more attention but I'd had a few by the time I walked past it. Bumped into Mr Murray on Saturday, keep meaning to call in and catch up on the brewing news front. How long are you in Bruges for?luke PB wrote:just read original post oops. at least you know the make of car

Re: Beer Republic coming to Chester
I had a sneak preview of Kash today and I was very impressed. They guys from Beer Republic are doing a great job of refurbishing the place. Atmostphere will be good as the building is bright, spacious and airy. They have installed the bar, with 2 hand pumps, near the entrance leading to 2 rooms of seated dining. It will be a mixture of walk up and waited service. The food menu sounds good with a mixture of American and international cuisine.
Eastimated opening is the first week of June so this is one to look forward to. Certainly it will be different to anything in Chester now, but very like European and US style bar/restaurants.

Great stuff. Glad our end of town is picking up. I also know of a new place opening round here over the next few months but I'm sworn to secrecy for the time being!

That wouldn't be the old Club Globe that is re-opening shortly would it?davetheswift wrote:Great stuff. Glad our end of town is picking up. I also know of a new place opening round here over the next few months but I'm sworn to secrecy for the time being!

Re: Beer Republic coming to Chester
Hi,
I wanted to post a little info about Kash and our Companies.
We are a family business and operate a number of beer and brewing related companies:
Blueball Brewery http://www.blueballbrewery.com is our Microbrewery based in Cheshire. We launched in October 2010 and have grown rapidly since. Last month we sold over 200 casks of our beers across the UK.
Beer Republic http://www.beerrepublic.com is our Microbrewery consultancy and supply business. We work with our customers to get them brewing with minimal fuss, risk and expense. We work with Businesses who see the value in producing their own Craft Beer and with Individuals who want to take their brewing to the next level. We have recently installed systems into the Pied Bull and at Chester Ales.
Homebrew Supermarket is our Homebrew Superstore based in Runcorn offering over 2000 sq/ft of stock. We have a massive selection of Beer and Winemaking Kits and Ingredients. We stock over 40 different Grains and over 45 Hop varieties all available by the gram.
Having operated the brewery for five months we felt we wanted to get closer to our potential customers and to interact on a regular basis. We also had a lifelong passion to run a bar and restaurant.
The name Kash comes from the very first recorded evidence of Beer. The Sumerians in Mesopotamia back in 4000 BC wrote about their version of Beer which they called "Kas" or "Kash".
We want to offer a venue which is laid back and relaxed but serves excellent food and drinks. Our menu is based on world food and features dishes from Morocco, Thailand, Lebanon, Mexico, Cambodia and many more. We will offer five of our own beers from Blueball alongside two guest beers and over 50 different bottles from around the world.
We are currently still in the renovation stage and still have a bit left to do. We hoped to be open by now but realistically expect to open to the public in the second week of June.
We really wish to offer something different and hope that we will be worth the visit.
We'll post back when we have some more news.
Kind Regards,
Matt and Alex

Re: Beer Republic coming to Chester
I was told in the Carlton last night that Kash will be opening unofficially this Friday (10th) with Blue Ball Zeppelin and Blonde Bombshell on cask. Check it out on your way to the Pied Bull presentation.
