The Swan, Pontfadog

Don't think it's had a mention for a while.

New owners moved in yesterday for a seamless take-over.

Open last night with two cask ales on. The Butty Bach was excellent, IMO. Didn't try the other.

At least for the summer, they are planning to open from mid-day to evening close, with kitchen open.

If you're headed up the Ceiriog Valley, I'm sure you will be made welcome.

Cheers for the info, sounds promising. Our social sec will be popping in next week :thumb:

If you have any updates on ales/opening times etc once he's settled in then keep the info coming thanks. Either here or via whatpub

Looks like they have settled in well.

Opening from mid-day through to end of the evening daily.

Food available at all times (but kitchen closed Mondays).

Regularly two cask ales.

I feel pretty confident in reporting that the new owners have really got this place thriving again.

Always 2 cask ales on the go, together with draft cider from the Stonehouse people.

Guinness on draught, as well as Wrexham Lager, John Smiths, Strongbow, etc.

Open for food seven days a week, and it is good food - including excellent vegetarian choices for those who prefer meatless.
