Didn't enjoy my brief Friday experience. Seeing as I wasn't allowed any of the festival ales as I didn't want to spend £2 on a non-refundable glass (which is arguably fair enough), I tried the far right handpump at the bar - Blue Ball Orange something. Urgh. Vinegary. I want to like but have yet to like a beer here. Will persist.

Thanks to all that came along to the festival which was a great success for us and we received great feedback overall.
The temporary bar is being removed on Tuesday morning and there is a small amount of each beer left which is in good condition. We will be offering this all day / night on Monday 3rd for £1 per pint and £50p per half.

We will be signing up Kash to the CAMRA pub discount scheme this week. As of Tuesday 4th October we will be offering 20p off per pint and 10p off per half on production of a valid current CAMRA membership card. This covers all Cask Ales and all Blueball Beers and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount night.

Many Thanks,

Matt

Have to say well done Chaps to a lovely Beer Festival. Popped in with 2 friends mid evening on Friday. Unfortunately, having been to 7 pubs beforehand I was slightly inebriated and could only manage a couple. The 'Spank' was gloriously full of flavour and rivalled Merlin - Wizard (Brewery Tap) for beer of the crawl.

Apologies to Luke (Pied Bull) as I couldn't even remember what I sampled in The Pied Bull just before. It was in fact your very own 'Bulls Hit' (oops Sorry).

Think I may have to take advantage of the cut price leftovers later on after work.

Enjoyed the festival myself, popped along Friday evening (probably slightly worse for wear) and then again on Saturday afternoon. The Leaded Zepplin and the Bulls Hit were the top two beers for me. And the Hop Dogs were superb.

Kash Bar & Blueball Brewery March Madness beer fest 9-11 Mar

Post by theRealCBAS » Mon Feb 27, 2012 10:57 am

We'd like to invite all Chester and South Clwyd CAMRA members to attend the Kash Bar beer fest. There'll be over 20 Real Ales and Craft beers including beers from Liverpool Organic, Blueball, Thornbridge, Wicketkeeper and Merlin breweries.

James - yes, you do as one of your beers will be there - Black Betty Black Belgian IPA 7.2% in cask and, dare I say it, keg :thumb:

We will definitely have 20 cask ales. Be great to see some CAMRA people there.

Cheers

Andy

Went last night and very lively evening, plenty of fellow CAMRA members :thumb: . My beer of the day was Blueball - Black Betty 7.2%, very dark but smooth beer, slpped down all too easily! :drink: Disappointed with Frodsham - Dark Arts 4%, wasn't very dark, more amber in colour, but lacked flavour. Made up for it with the Westmalle Dubbel 7.5%, another dark beer but not as smooth as Black Betty. Finished off with very pleasant Dragon Slayer. May have to pop in again this evening :hmm: .

Glad you enjoyed that John. I may have had a hand or two in it.

Brodies? I believe Boggart could help you with that.

Marble?
