I was in Kash the other day and asked the barman about Luke. He told me Luke had left and is now at The Cellar.

that's a shame, Luke was doing a good job down at Kash. It was helping to build up the trade in Brook street. Hope all goes well at the cellar. Anybody stepped into his shoes yet?

Yes, Luke left a few weeks ago. A pleasant young chap has started there now - name not known as yet.

Post by AndyTabbeer » Fri Feb 28, 2014 10:46 am

Hello all

Along with the usual quality keg beers, Kash is putting on 12 real ales for its beer fest this weekend. First Chop, Hardknott, Dark Star, Portobello....

You can come to Kash and leave with your head held high.

Cheers

Howdy, Cowboys (& Indians)

It's that time of year again. Kash hosts its third 4th of July beer fest extravaganza.

Date: July 3rd-6th

Featuring beers from Kernel, Flying Dog, SWB, Thornbridge, Tiny Rebel, Magic Rock, Arbor, Oakham and, of course, lashings of Blue Ball beers. There'll be a bbq each day and a bit of music, too.

There's more info on Yourround.

Belgian Beer Festival at Kash

Post by mmatthej1 » Mon Dec 15, 2014 11:22 am

Just to thank the team at Kash for laying on a very diverse range of excellent beers for the weekend festival - Zinnebier, for example, a pretty obscure brew, plus the Leffe 9% Rituel were standouts. Well done!

My only criticism - not an uncommon one for UK bars - is lack of 'proper' glasses. I know that the 'real' ones would soon go walkabout but even a wine glass is more appropriate than the usual straight-side half pint glass. Shape does matter!

The Kash OctoberFest featuring the #BurgerOff 3/10/2015

Post by KashTapRooms » Tue Sep 22, 2015 11:12 am

The Beer & Burger Fest - Hoole Community Centre 2pm-10.30pm

The focus is German beer, so there will be ten or so beers, on cask and keg, from German breweries plus a few blockbusters from the Blueball brewery and a few local ones too (Deva). You can find the beer details here

http://www.yourround.co.uk/Festival/Che ... f/CH2.aspx

There’ll be burgers, brats, hot dogs, fries and the like. There will be live music courtesy of 3Kings, supplemented with a few cheesy Oom-Pah songs and a smattering of leftfield brass based numbers, too.

#BurgerOff
This event will also see the inaugural #BurgerOff will take its first Bambi like steps. Ten of Chester’s finest bars and pubs will do battle in two competitions - the Mocking Bird Tap, the Oaklands, Luke and Gin Rickys, Joseph Benjamin, the Chef's Table, the Bridge Inn, Moules a Go Go, the Piper, the Lodge Bar and the Hollows.

The King of Burgers

It’s time to answer the burning question on everyone’s lips: who makes the best burgers in Chester? This competition will be judged by a panel of five local dignitaries/celebrities/bloggers including the Lord Mayor and Gavin Matthews from Dee 106FM.

The Freestyle Battle

This is where anything goes. No rules for this one. This competition will be judged by a group of five burger lovers picked at random.

Tickets

Tickets are £1 and are available from the Kash Tap Rooms, Chester Beer and Wine and Hoole Community Centre (Mon-Fri 9-12pm) – a nominal fee as we just need to know numbers so we can manage capacity.

Cheers
Andy

Black Betty eh?

I'd better go and book a room with the Liver unit at the Hospital.
