Plumbers Arms, open following refurb!

Post by bungleventure » Sun May 03, 2015 4:18 pm

We have just reopened at the Plumbers Arms after a refurbishment.
4 permanent cask ales on all the time, real cider and craft beers!!
Quiet traditional pub, no juke box or banging music!!

Popped in on Sunday to escape the mayhem of Bank Holiday revelry be the one solitary customer. Surely this isn't the finished article? Spartan walls, dirty paint-splattered seats. Alot of the old interesting prints gone. Horrible heavy metal radio station on in the background. Four beers all from Thwaites. V.v.v.disappointing.

Thanks for your comments, no it is certainly not the finished article, we just got as far as we could to get open for the bank holiday weekend. All the old prints and pictures are still to go back up and the fitted seats are being re-upholstered next week. I will also investigate the music choice as that is not what Plumbers is about. Cask ales are from Daniel Thwaites but we have asked to be allowed to source beers from other brewers of which has been agreed.

Please give the Plumbers a chance, we are trying to change it from a late night venue to a nice traditional city pub with real ales.

Thanks for the positive reply. I'll certainly give it another go. I like the Thwaites guest beers but others would be welcomed. Good luck.

HH you are SO critical you don't give a place a chance! you come across as SO negative
These guys are doing their best and you slag them off!!
Thwaites beers are ok, but they have sold off their big brews to Marstons.
