Be interested to see what this place will be like. It's the old Weighing Room.

Yep, never could get with Weighing Room but choice of beers will be the key to the new place and they SEEM to be going on the right track.................. time will tell !

Called in earlier for a friendly chat. Liked the look of the place I must say. Big Hand and Weetwood from wall taps (à la Botanist). Schooners (2/3rd pints) if you like that sort of thing. Think it was about £3.40 a pint.

Is it actually open for business?

Yes. Officially opened last night. Imaginative use of pallets especially in the rear patio 'garden'. The Big Hand Domino was very good.

First visit last eve - quite liked it, enjoyed schooners (yes!) of 'Longhammer', a 6% IPA.

Staff were friendly, showed us food menu, as of future interest, also looked at a bottled Weissbier which might be for next time............

Local beers on tap from Big Hand in good nick however
long hammer schooner at £4 was a bit pricey but quite nice.
I can accept premium strength beer will be a little more
expensive but I would expect it to be a pint.
