Hi Swifty -

Nice to see you the other day, when I popped in for admittedly rare visit, in company of her-indoors.

As discussed, you do tend towards rather puny ABV beers - suggest that you get a stock of bottled '3 Montes', which our beer of choice when we venture into your sister pub, Harkers.

Surely some other of your customers would appreciate a decent strength beer?

Best Regards,

Here’s and update of what’s on now & soon, as ever bold beers are on now.

Phoenix - B & P Original 3.8%
Lymestone – Ein Stein 5%
Howard Town – Wren’s Nest 4.1%, Dinting Arches 4.4%, Dark Peak 6%
Cheshire Brew Brothers - Tawny 3.8%, Gold 3.6%
Big Hand - Zeta 3.6%, Little Monkey 4%,
Salopian - Divine Comedy 3.9%
Hornbeam – Summer IPA 4.5%, Lime Blossom 3.7%
Peerless – Curveball 3.7%, Crystal Maze 4.4%
Tatton - Gold 4.8%
Castle Rock - Sheriff's Tipple 3.4%,
Three Tuns - Stout 4.4%, XXX 4.3%
Lancaster - Elderflower twist 3.8%,
Allgates – All Black 3.6%, Quaker Stout 4.8%, Pretoria 3.9%, Industrious Bee 3.8%
Brightside – Happy Days 4.2%, Our Town 4%
Titanic - Plum Porter 4.8%
Conwy - Beachcomber Blonde 4.2%, Yakima Grande 5%
Weetwood - Eastgate 4.2%
Osset - Tour of Yorkshire 4.5%
Offbeat - Oddball 4.4% and an as yet unnamed collaboration with Blackjack 5%

Re you’re point John, I love 3 Montes, we used to stock it at the Marlbororough when I worked there but it doesn’t sit in with my range at the moment. Maybe come winter I’ll go for some indoor sharers. I wouldn’t say our beers are puny though as we have a few plus 5% bottles in and I always try to have a decent range from below 3.8 to plus 5% on cask but hey, that’s my opinion! Come to think of it I’ve got a back order of Ticketybrew dubbel I need to chase up!

Happy Monday
