Tried this place on three occasions over the last month. Very disappointed. I spoke up for this pub when it was criticised for having a poor beer range. However, I have found the beers cold, cloudy and in poor condition. Last night I tried the Conwy and Beartown, very poor. A week or two ago I sent back the Llangollen Bitter as it had a distinct taste of vinegar. Obviously food is big here, they seem to have taken their eye off the ball as beer is concerned.

Hi Mike,

We're sorry to hear that you have had some poor pints here recently. The two ales you tried actually came off the next morning when we realised that they were starting to deteriate. During the busy months we fly through our ales and very rarely find that we are throwing away ale that has started to lose its condition. However, since moving to seven pumps, we have found that we need to keep a closer eye on the beers during the quieter months. Following on from your feedback, we have decided to move from 7 active pumps to 6 until trade picks up again in spring. We really do have a passion for good ale here at Woodward and Falconer and will always endeavour to serve only the best quality beer.

Mike, we would love for you to come back and try a few more ales. Feel free to e-mail me on caskbeer@woodwardandfalconer.com.

Thanks for your feedback, we need to listen to our customers opinions in order to move forward, so keep it coming.

We hope to hear from you soon

Went last night to a very busy Stamford Bridge - (2 for 1 offer on food)

Arrived at 19.15 - on the bar:

Weetwood Old Dog
Theakstons
Conwy Honey
W&F Piffle (clip turned)
W&F Balderdash (clip turned)

Choice of handle or straight glass

Had a pint of Old Dog - well kept, pleasant and substantial pint.

By 19.25 both the W&F offerings were back on. Had pint of Balderdash, again, pleasant and well kept.

Customer service - very good.
