Have you redeemed yourself yet?
Well, you're right occasionally but then even a broken clock tells the correct time twice a day!

Perhaps the ghost of landlords past and future paid a visit over the festive season leading to this rejuvenation? :hmm:

Right lads, if there's going to be a film I think my early days should be played by Brad Pitt, like he was in snatch. Do you wanna buy a dawg? Later in life by Clint Eastwood as he was in grand Torino, we piled you gooks five high. Love the joke about landlords past and future, was that referring to spirits

This 'newbie' newly redeemed pub is doing rather well!
It has an eccentric landlord ( not on the Mercer scale)
Its beers are fantastic, always in the most wonderful condition......... but its been like this for years!
great stuff Trev!! did you know if Kash are in the GBG? Im not sure, Ill check!

Given the combination of variety and quality, at £2.70/pint the Cottage has the best value ale in Chester by a mile.

(Compare this to £3.86/pint at the Pied Bull beer festival for quaffing grade ale which was warm.)

No question that the beer in the Cottage is always excellent value for money but the Lodge Bar in Hoole was serving up a superb pint of Salopian Darwin's Origin tonight for £2.70 a pint.

Thanks for everybody comments,
Can't keep the £2.70 all the time as still not free of tie.
So from Monday and for Feb it will be £3 to £3.10 a pint but Camra and loyalty cards are back on, so if you have a card it's still only £2.70-£280 all hail the ale!
