Bridgewater Brewing, New Russia Hall, Tattenhall

Anyone come across this local microbrewer and parts supplier? Beers have featured at Carriages next door.

Suspect products are pasteurised.

Re: Dublin Packet, Chester

Couldn't see much change from the outside. Still looks uninviting. GK IPA on the handpump as before.

Re: Race Horse, Upton Dene

"Who'd have thought it could become less appealing than a Hungry Horse!"

Nice quote and how true. That'll be in the next OIC.

Re: THE FARNDON

Certainly looked open when I cycled past on Sunday. How come, as a Farndon resident, you've not plugged the 3rd Farndon Beer Festival? Saturday 9 September. Real ales - ciders - pimms - prosecco - gin bar - at the Community Centre which never seems open when I pass. Pity as it does sell cask judging...

Farmer's Arms Kelsall

Sad that the Farmer's seems to have been shut for a few weeks now. What happened there? Was good on my four or five visits over the past two years.

Apparently Corrine, who worked at the Farmers, is now temporarily running the re-opened Royal Oak in Kinnerton.

Re: Centurion Vicars Cross

August 1st post Centurion Community Action Group: Just a quick note to keep you all up to date. Trevor and I had a very productive meeting with Admiral Taverns today. The result is we have secured a two year lease. We are just waiting for details to be finalised, but we feel we have got a good deal ...

Re: What's Brewing Newspaper..August edition

My RSPB magazine arrived at the same time as What's Brewing with both containing the aforementioned mysterious envelope. Both identical bar who they purported to be from. Both went straight into the recycling box.

If it means more money to protect birds and cask beer I'm not bothered.

Mike's optimism wins out. Stuck head round door on way back from M&S and they've got Doom Bar and Cheshire Cat on today.

Re: Off the Wall

Don't think I'll be marking this one as a cask conversion on WhatPub. All pumpclips turned round today and the lad behind the bar pointed me to the delicious John Smith's Smoothflow. Yeah, as if.

Re: Cross Lanes, Wrexham

Don't see this one coming back. Cycled past yesterday and looking very abandoned. Application in to become children's outdoor activity centre - zip wires, swing ropes and all that shit. Why can't they just climb trees and explore like the old days?

Re: Amber Lounge

Re-opened. Same name. Looks same inside too except it sells cask - currently a lone handpump offering Theakstons Lightfoot. The cask won't last as it will prove as popular as a salad bar at Butlins.

Re: Amber Lounge

Star Inns (owners of Vic and Saddle) have contractors in to do another refit to Amber Lounge (ex Deva). Been closed a long while now. Spoke to a workman there. He didn't seem to know much but reckoned it wouldn't continue as a cocktail emporium. Lots of people fed up with blond, citrussy beers. Time...

Re: Nags Head Lavister

Very ropey Wye Valley HPA in here last night. Personally I preferred it when it had unobtrusive sports tv, pool and darts.
