Re: Boat Inn Erbistock

News on the currently closed Boat at Erbistock. Now co-owned by ex-Brunning & Price creator Graham Price. To quote Linked-In ... "...Recently, possibly in a moment of madness and, despite all other previous intentions and self-promises, myself and a pal bought The Boat at Erbistock. She has to be th...

Ossett Nervous Turkey and Tatton Best Bitter on here on Sunday. The latter was terrific. Needed to be at £2 a half! Hardly Port prices!

Re: Rhostyllen Woes

Saw Mold win a 3-2 thriller at Rhostyllen this time last year. Both pubs had cask on that night but always just clinging on. Should have popped over the river to the Black Lion.

Re: Big Hand Tap

I was impressed too. Should become a regular pre / post-match haunt once the football season resumes down at the Deva Stadium. Could do with a Tuesday night general knowledge quiz though eh Citrazen!

Vauxhall Motors Social Club

One for you Old Yard Dog & Rimmer to try. Weetwood ale on handpump at the Motors Social Club. Pity I missed their midweek game last Tuesday. Would have given it a try.

Llangollen micropub

LLangollen micropub opening in next few weeks on Oak Street. Spoke to the lads outside. No cask beer alas but there will be key keg for those of you who aren't hardcore CAMRA. Think it's going to be called the Cellar even though it doesn't have one. From planning app:- I am proposing to open a 'bott...

Re: Morris Dancer, Kelsall

Popped in the day it opened. Standard exemplar B&P pub.

Beer range nothing too exciting - mix of Weetwood, Spitting Feathers, Taylors, Phoenix and Purity.

The Boot at Willington remains my favourite pub in the area where they were serving the newly launched Half Nelson Weetwood wheat beer.
