Can only add another rumour. I'd heard the landlord, who'd links with the Golden Lion in Frodsham, had done a runner with the takings. Where do people go when they "do a runner" ? It's hardly as if they've got enough stash to buy themselves a new identity and live in a palm-thatched cabana on St Kit...

Chester Christmas Market Bar

Opened today. Three ales from Brightside Brewing - Odin Blonde 3.8%, Our Town 4% and Maverick 4.8%. Hardly call Radcliffe as local but interesting choice nonetheless. £4 a pint, plastic glass and it lasts to December 14th. Thought it would go on a week longer wouldn't you?
